Owner and chef Jay Abe has been serving macrobiotic food at Inaka for over 30 years, at the same location. Though the neighborhood has experienced many changes, the philosophy at Inaka has not. We serve simple Japanese food naturally prepared using traditional methods, with your health in mind. Each plate is prepared individually, with care taken from beginning to end. The ingredients that go into each meal at Inaka are local, organic and/or natural whenever available.
Understand that good food made just for you takes time to prepare. Use your time with us to unwind from the pressures of day to day city life and restore your body, mind and spirit. Remember, Inaka means countryside in Japanese.
